A Keaper's Guide to Local Independent Shops

This post was originally shared in our email newsletter on December 19th, 2024.

You still have until Saturday 11am EST to send Keap gifts in time for December 25 — but you'll need to select Air shipping. See our shipping recommendations here

If you're reading this after the deadline, don't worry! You can:

  • Shop in Store: Check out our stockist list to find a store near you
  • Shop at a pop-up: If you're in NYC, visit us in person at the Maison 10 pop-up this Saturday and Sunday (details below)
  • Get a gift card!

Speaking of visiting in person, in our recent 2024 Keaper Survey we asked how you would like to further connect with the Keap community. The results were clear: pop-ups and local retail events topped the list (which we're actively expanding!), followed closely by a desire for a curated directory of places that Keapers love.

The results of a poll with Keapers on how they want to connect with other members of the Keap community.

Introducing: For Keapers by Keapers Gift Guide

Just in time for last minute holiday shopping, I'm thrilled to share our first mini-baby-little crowd-sourced shopping guide, featuring 13 exceptional independent stores across the United States (save them to your maps app for your next trips!). These shops are carefully curated, community-oriented spaces hand-picked by our discerning Keap community. Thank you to everyone who shared their picks and special shoutouts to Caterina, Natalie, Sherrye and Vicki for sharing multiple spots!

This was just a sample of the many thoughtful submissions we received so far, but we will be back with a more structured and comprehensive guide in future.

See the list here

We’re looking to expand this list! You can share your favorite stores (no limit on submissions!) and receive $10 in candle credit.

As we grow this list (hopefully a lot!), what’s the best way to share that with you? A live map? A directory? A spreadsheet? Let me know what you think.

Have a cozy weekend,

— Harry from Keap, Steward-Owner

If you enjoyed this article, you might enjoy our not-quite-weekly free newsletter where we share our lessons on our journey toward our regenerative vision, product launches, and behind-the-scenes happenings.

We left social media in 2021 because we found its current mechanics didn’t align with our purpose to facilitate connection to the natural world, our loved ones, and our own spirits. Since then, our newsletter has become a vibrant place for healthy conversation around topics ranging from alternative business ownership models to happy hour cocktail recipes.

What our readers say about it:

“It’s very thoughtful and not sales-y like all other marketing newsletters.”

“I like reading how a business is trying to be as progressive as possible in a capitalist system.”

“I normally delete emails from businesses but with the Keap newsletter I was actually interested in reading through! Made me feel that you guys really care about us and the work you do."
