“I was fortunate to study at Trinity College in Cambridge. The dining hall was built by Henry VIII, and a large portrait of him has hung at the end of the room for 450 years. Entering the famous college library—where some books were centuries old too—was a humbling experience. I'll never forget the smell of those books, nor the absolute stillness in the air.”

Key Notes
Guaiacwood: A protected species with special permits for perfumery, this exotic wood imparts an almost holy smokiness with just enough creaminess.
Elemi Oil: Similar to frankincense, an oil with an incense-like pepperiness, uplifted by a little lemon.
Cedar Wood: Woody, dry, reminiscent of a pencil tip, fresh wood shavings.
Beeswax: A reassuringly familiar scent, bringing to mind freshly polished wood as well as wild honey and flowers.
Angelica Seeds: Known as the 'Holy Ghost', Angelica yields an oil from its seeds known for its herbaceous, tangy and earthy aspects..
Cedar Leaves: Woody and mysterious, adds one of the special je-ne-sais-quoi’s of libraries.
Candle Burning Tips
Following your first burn, each time you use your candle, trim the wick to 3⁄8” (about the width of your pinky finger) before you light it. This helps ensure a smaller, safer flame and less soot.
Each time you burn your candle, burn it for 2-3 hours. This will not only maximize the fragrance throw, but also help avoid "tunneling," where the candle burns down the middle, leaving wax around the edges.
For safety reasons:
▶ Don’t burn your candle when less than a 1/2” of wax remains.
▶ Never leave a burning candle unattended!

What's a gift-boxed candle?

A gift-boxed Keap candle comes with a beautiful black gift-box, and inside you'll find a candle (phew!), a coaster/dust cover, matchbox*, and an informational insert.
*Please note that matchboxes can only be included in Ground shipments. If you choose an expedited shipping option at checkout (Air or Priority), the matches will be excluded from your order.
Can I include a gift note?

Absolutely. In the cart there is a field to enter a personal gift note. We hand-write every gift note on a card and include it alongside your gift.
Can a gift receipt be included instead of the price?

We only include details about how to contact us, alongside any gift message you provide so no pricing information will be visible.

I'm a subscriber. Do I get free shipping on this order?

If you order 8 or more candles through our website, shipping is free! For smaller one-off orders, we do not offer free shipping.
However, subscribers do receive free shipping on all subscription orders (i.e. orders placed through the subscriber portal), so you can order Wood Cabin and Lavender + Petals through the portal year-round, and you can order this month's Seasonal Scent through the portal anytime before the change of the month.
